PATH Nomination Form

This all-expenses-paid visit program for rising high school seniors (Class of 2026) is designed for high-achieving students who have excelled in their communities and are preparing for college with limited support or access to resources. PATH offers a chance to take the next step with guidance, connection, and a firsthand look at life at Washington and Lee University.

If any of the following describe a student you work with, PATH might be a great fit:

    • They’re excited about college but unsure where to start.
    • They’re the first in their family to attend a four-year college.
    • They attend a school with limited college counseling resources.
    • They qualify for free or reduced lunch or need-based aid.
    • They work with a community-based organization focused on access.
    • They’re undocumented, DACA-eligible, or navigating college in a unique way.
    • They’re looking for a college community that values equity, mentorship, and opportunity.
We will ask for the following materials in the application:
    • Unofficial transcript (including grades 9-11)
    • Proposed senior course list
    • Activities list or resume
    • Optional: self-reported test scores (SAT, ACT, PSAT, pre-ACT)
    • Optional: school profile
Our Fall 2025 PATH programs will take place September 21-23 and September 28-30. Students may indicate their date preference in their application. An invitation to attend PATH is not an indication of future admission, and those not invited to PATH are still welcome and encouraged to apply for admission to W&L.
